hey all, i'm looking to fulfill a dream like probably every little boy and girl on this forum, owning and loving my own personal bmw m3. i know this will be a shot in the dark but i'm on my way to getting married and would like to give this a shot before married life...haha. so up front, my budget is low less than 3,000$. i know that's cutting it, but it's all i have. i'm a poor college student just looking to fulfill that dream. all i ask for in this bmw m3 is that it be 5 spd, running well, less than 150k miles on it. i don't care for mods or extra electronics, just a running bmw m3. no need for luxurious heated seats or anything else, as long as it's
- a factory made bmw m3
- runs healthy
- 5 spd
- less than 150k miles
i dont care if there's dings in it or missing windows as long as it hits those 4 requirements i'll buy it off of you. please consider my offer a serious and hopeful one, i love this car.

+1

Even buying a M3 that's been crashed and used as a parts car would run you more. More realistically, you'd be looking for just a regular e36, with high mileage and older age.

If anyones willing to get you one for 3k, I'll but it off them for 6k.

Don't bust his bubble guys ...

I'm sure you could find an M3 for $3k. It might just have the subframe and strut towers ripped out, frame damage, and missing the engine. :D

Not to crap on your hopes and dreams, but the cheapest running E36 M3 I've ever seen was $7k. I don't see why you can't have one if you're married. Anyway, best of luck to you. If you find one for that price, you're getting a very, very, very good deal on it.

You will never find an m3 that's running for 3k unless its a salvage title, and even then it's 1,000,000 to 1. And even if you did, do you really expect a $3,000 m3 not to need at least that much in repairs over the next few years? More importantly, do you really think a 3k m3 is actually going to fullfill that dream of yours, or is it going to drive like any other shitty $3,000 car?

Save your money and buy your dream car in a few years, being married doesn't end your life.

------------

and to the op, you could hardly get a non-m3 e36 for that much.
But if i were you, thats what i'd buy is a 325i or a 325is. or use the 3 grand you got as a downpayment on an m3. (used of course)

i guess i should post up my dreams also. would someone sell me a m5 for 2k thats all i have.
only 4 condition
must be 6sp
have 500hp
look bad ass
have a cup holder
:rolleyes
To the OP, i was in your situation, so i settled with a regular 3 series ( had 5k to work with) and now i have something to work up to, when you are able to get one, that will be your reward. Trust me a regular 3 series is better than most other cars.

If you find an M3 for $3K (IF), it won't be your dream car. If anything, it'll be nothing short of a nightmare.

Seriously dude, I can't believe your dream car is a $3K piece of garbage. You need bigger ambitions.

My dream is to buy a new Ferrari. Not just to buy it, but to be able to fly into the dealership, pay cash, and barely make a dent in my bank account.

TAKE THIS FOR EXAMPLE http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654246

2,800 YES ITS SOLD. But he can drive it like this well put a good door on it.

But it is an m3 just body is shook up alot.

But, yes you can find an m3 for 3k not clean title something that will need work. And yes from the auction only. Not on this forum thoug.

Hey man Im sorry to say it but its true what all this guys are saying maybe there saying it in a mean tone but its true, you wont find an M3 for that kind of cash, if you want an M3 that runs and doesnt have a salvage title and what not you should try to get at least 6k more, im buying my M3 by the end of this year and im not expecting to get one for less then 13k ive been saving for 2 years but I understand what your going through man I told my wife that after the wedding all the extra cash that I get is going towards my M3, but hey you never know right GL with the buy.

That's being awful picky when your offering price is less than 1/3 market value. Just pathetic. Get a second job or something and start saving money. Sounds like you need to work out some priorities.

Sorry to jack the thread but how about an (e36) non-M? I would be willing to fly out and drive the car back if it will make it (to Nevada). Well that and I can also pay more than $3000....just shoot me some offers....but get it straight I DO NOT want an M3!!! Not that there is anything wrong with 'em I just don't wanna dive head first into Bimmers.
