I am looking at a set of rims for my other car (not bmw, DD) and i understand offset kinda i just had a question about.

The factory offset for the car is et40 and the rims im looking at are et51. If i got the rims would i still be able to use the rims with out a spacer and could i use a spacer if needed, like a 10 mm spacer?

I dont know if it is entirely clear, but if its not clear im sorry and ill try to reword it.

Thanks in advanced.

You should be fine using a 10mm spacer with the et51 wheel, giving effective offset of +41mm. This is assuming the wheel width of the et51 wheel is close to the factory wheel width.

The rims are from a different model cadillac. the stock size is 16x7 and the ones i want are 16x7 or 17x7.

Ok cool thats what i thought it was when using the spacer having a higher offset.

Thanks again for your help.
