I would go with the S4. Its the 2.7t year, its 6speed and with a few things you have got a very very fast car. I agree with getting an M5 but i would take the S4 over the 528.

S4 has manyyyyy electrical problems. 2001.5 was the best year if you can find one. But that thing can totally kicks ass after modding. chip intake exhats yeilds incredible numbers. hell chip alone is 70hp and 100 ft lbs more

It is the better car, but your going to pay for it maintinence wise.

You're actually comparing an automatic 528i with a 6-speed S4? There's no competition at all. The S4 blows a 528i away, especially an automatic one.

S4. good all weather capabilty and pretty quick. Chip it and it's really quick. Not as reliable as the 528 but the speed is nice.

It all depends on why you're selling the 528. If you're selling it b/c it's too slow, then yes, get the S4. However, be prepared to dish out some money for maintanance. Audis have never been the cheapest cars to maintain.

oh, S4 BTW.....As all has been said....you get what you pay for between these cars, the s4 does what it does, but will be more to maintain

S4 with a chip puts you at 310HP....and its AWD

How many miles are on the S4? Replacing turbos on a higher mileage S4 is pretty expensive since the motor needs to be pulled out

As a former B5S4 owner, I can agree that they are amazing cars, but unless you are driving in snow a LOT buy an e36 M3...

BTW, a 528iA will put you to sleep...
