This is a very slightly used (1,500 miles) K&N 9" Extreme Conical filter. The extreme series is a new one for K&N and is supposed to produce good power gains. I had it on my 318is and it needed the adapter piece to fit the MAF sensor. If you have an inline 6 E36, the filter will fit with the univeral mounting bracket.
The filter alone was $90 and the rest of the brackets and adapter were another $35.
I'll sell the filter with the mounting bracket for $60 and with the MAF sensor piece (for 318's) for another $15....so $75. Shipping to be paid buy purchaser.

yes, you are correct.....the filter will attach directly to the MAF sensor....only thing you'd need to be totally efficient would be a heatshield.

How did it work for you?

It helped noticeably in the top end. I am selling it because I am saving up for a 6 cylinder motor. my bolt-ons will all be for sale within the next few months....chip, exhaust, big bore throttle body, etc...

Yep...had it done by a local tuning shop last year....seemed to help a decent amount above 5K rpms......I'm willing to let it go on trade for your stock throttle body if you are interested. Plus cash as well......
