Its a common problem, especially here in south florida and I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to get that crappy stuff off the front of the headlights? Please let me know

if you mean the yellowing that is common to plastic headlight housings, then maybe i can help ya.
get some probably 1000 , 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper.. maybe rougher depending on how bad it is..
wet sand all the yellow stuff off the lens going progressively higher in the grit # on the paper.
once you wet sand all the oxidization off, get some of this stuff called "blue majic"
its a really good metal polish that will clean the crap out of all sorts of stuff.....
polish the lights up with this untill you get your desired finish.
also works good on marker , and taillights too as they all will oxidize to an extent. most of the time the marker and tails dont need sanding.
i figured this out due to my friends Fox body Mustang having the same problem....
hope this helps , and sorry for the long ass post~

before that, try using nail polish remover and scrubbing it off. Make sure its acetone based.

also this is quite labor intensive, and will never get the lights back to a NEW condition , however it will make them a LOT more visually appealing.
you just gotta decide if its work all the trouble, and easier than just ordering a new set.....
and just like paint , itll probably hafta be polished up again. this isnt a cure , just a patch of sorts..... tho itll usually last 3 or 4 moths before requiring a light polishing again.

laughable, considering that they arent that bad of a car , especially the early 90s mustangs. mid teen K entry price , easily modifiable, GREAT aftermarket following.
and they dont look bad either
and besides, they will seat just as many as a E-30 coupe, get pretty good gas milage , if youre not in the throttle all the time, and cost(ed) less than a 318is when new.
and you cant say that a RWD V-8 car isnt fun to drive.
your hatred is probably based on the fact that it is such a loved car by millions of people , and is far more easily modified than our BMWs
AND you can still find a nice example of a fox mustang for 5K today. and theyre still fun to drive.
and as soon as i can get a little more cash up , the 318 is history, and ill be buying a 90-93 GT vert.

Not hatred...contempt. That vert outta shake like a gravel crusher....Toss a cage in it, and maybe you'll have a car that doesn't twist like a braided pretzel.

as im sure any older convertible car will do, the only convertible ive ever ridden in that didnt have flex and cowl shake was a 1st gen viper with less than 5 thousand miles

At least it's not as bad as these, if you can even call it a rustang. Farah Fawcett is the only thing that makes this thing look even remotely decent but still yuck. :puke
