Chips on Sport Pkg Rims

Is anyone else seeing chips in their 18" Sport wheels on the 335i? I have found like 3 small ones on different wheels. They're tiny and not real noticeable, but I can't figure out where they're coming from. It's not like I'm taking it off-road or anything. They are on the sides of the wheel spokes where it seems nothing would hit.:shifty

Speaking of windshield chips, is there any product you can use to protect the windshield from getting these little chips over the years? And conversely, any way to repair them once they're there? I've never had any real cracks or broken windshields but as the years go on my windshields start to look terrible when clean b/c of all the little micro-chips in them.
