s52b32/m52 hybrid can it be?

a buddy of mine told me a "rumor" of a guy with a 328i 2.8 with a s52b32 head on it with the ITB setup. i dont believe it is this even possible i had the impression the heads where slightly different but if it is true thats fuckin sweet what do you all think think its a hoax?

That would be impossible seeing as there is no "s52b32". The euro engines are s50b30 (286hp) and s50b32 (321hp). The S50 US (stroked m50) was labeled as such because of the presence of an international s50 family of engines, but because there was no international s52 (just the s50b32), that engine exists only in North America (as a stroked m52).

I've heard people say it could be possible to adapt an s50b30/b32 head, but I have *never* seen it done. I just don't know how you would go about putting a dual Vanos head on a single Vanos bottom. Maybe he just fit the ITBs or bought the ITB kit from BMP :dunno

You can put an US Spec S52 head on the M52 block. I know that.
As for ITBs... no idear.

there is a guy who has it. his id is m52. his car was originally a 323 that he stroked to a 2.8 and then put itb on them

That isn't an s50 head though, just the ITBs.
