View Full Version : camber adjusters with konis & H&R race...
i'm wondering what you guys who have koni shocks/struts with HR race springs on your 328 or other e36 did to adjust the camber back to spec...
mine will be a street car and maybe an auto x now and then so i want street specs on it... i've been hearing of camber plates, shims, M3 mounts placed the other way (L on right side and R on left side... that might have been to increase camber though i don't remember)
well anyway, any help is appreciated as i'm soon ordering all these parts
thanks

i have h&r race springs, the camber in the front seems fantastic with M3 LCA bushings properly installed. i have no strut/camber plates, but i will probably wish for some when i go auto-x this year (to get more negative camber). in the rear i got tms adj. control arms, which are bitchin' and those can get you about -4° to +2°. In hind sight, i probably should have dished out the extra money for adj. coilovers and camber plates, but thats a difference of about $1k. over what i spent. h&r race are a bit hard, and low for the street. i've really scraped my undercarriage a bunch, and even my new sway bar once... in only 2 mos. (about 5k miles of driving). i like it though, now getting used to slowing for bumps. my wife doesn't complain too much, but thats mostly because its 1000 times better than the old worn-out stuff i took off. the performance is exceptional. as matter of suggestion if its really daily driving as your end goal, then you might look into the sport springs with good sways. otherwise, you won't be disappointed with the performance of the h&r race.
what's the camber for both of you above ??? F & R ?

Uh the fronts for me are pretty much almost in spec.. but I have the M3 control arms and bushings in...
THe rears im not sure on the exact number never really cared but the wheels look like this / \ Beleive that is negative camber id say at 3 degrees... I have them to the max they will adust to getting them to neutral.. ITs not that bad I do wear the inside faster than the outside but its to be expcected...

I Have H&R race springs on my car. Nothing additional adjustable pieces in the front and the left has -1.2 camber and the right has -1.0 camber. The rear I had to put on eibach adjustable control arms because the camber was at -2.5
