Hello there!
I'm new here. Bought a 94 318i a month ago. So far happy with it. Changed the wiper linkage (had no right wiper when I bought it) and appart from that a couple light bulbs. Done that today and now I only have the instrument cluster LCD bulb(s) to replace. Speaking of that, what kind of bulb are those?

Anyways, on to the topic: I have found the blower resistor, and got myself a new one. So no biggie there (bimmerforums and Bentley manual have helped to find it). The problem I have is actually getting it out. Is it supposed to be that hard? Is there a trick to getting it out? I find having the fan on speed 4 is annoying.

Thanks and happy new year
Nick

If you have bulbs like my 325is then the black and brown ones you get from BMW the green ones pull out of the socket and replace with standard bulb from any parts store

Talking about the LCD that displays the milage, right? I have no idea what those are. I wanted to know before removing cluster. Of course to have a clear answer to that, there would need to be only one model of bulbs used. If it can help, it's the trip odometer backlight that is burnt. Also the foglights indicator is.

Anyone on the resistor matter?
