Why is it never like it is supposed to be? (headliner)

Well, I tried to take my headliner off today, I followed the Pelican's instructions.

After I broke the grab handles covers :mad, I got everything else off but the headliner didn't want to come off.

Guess what? The fiberglass is glued to the body of the car :mad :mad :mad WTF? I have never read something like that, I could stick my hand above the headliner where the sunroof is but everything else is glued, I tried to gently unglue it but it started making not so nice sounds (like the fiberglass was cracking) so I stopped doing it.

Then I tried to glue the fabric to the fiberglass with the headliner still on the car and it turned out like crap.

I'm taking my car to a shop and I'm getting ripped off :(

no, start at one corner and just run around the edges . It doesnt shrink I promise.

I see you're looking for the pillar and sunroof covers so I guess you had taken your headliner off before, was it glued like mine near the corners (pillars)?
