I have read the compatible listing on BMWUSA, and I am asking you to let me know which phones you have found to work with the 335. I do not have the iDrive, so I know it would be thru the radio display. I have read Mark335 has a razr and the installed cradle...saw a pic...sharp! Anyone try the Krzr yet?
Appreciate any and all input!!!:help

I have the LG8300 and my wife has the Razor. Both work flawlessly. Good luck!

I've only tried one unlisted LG phone and it works but the problem you may run into is that unlisted phones may not import your phone book. All bluetooth phones should still work.

If you purchase the phone cradle, does it only fit on your current phone and not any other phone? I'd imagine it would have to be for your particular phone since every phone has different dimensions and needs to fit on a specific cradle.

Thanks,
Larry

I have a Verizon Treo 650 and only numbers on quick dial will be imported into the BMW system and sometimes not all of those. Other than that, connection and operation are easy and flawless.

I have a treo 700p it displays the quick dials and not the entire contacts. It also doesn't display the incoming calls caller id properly, it shows the last dialed # i think. Other than that it works great. I'm pretty happy with it.

One more question...has anyone had any luck with the LG8600? I have found a sheet on verizons site that states that it works. However, I would trust your word over theirs. Anyone?

My wife's razr and my Blackberry 8700 work great Both directories download, although my Blackberry stops near the end of the alphabet...there are over 1200 contacts in there. Interstingly, the Motorola car charger charges both phones.

PeterC4,

I have the 2008 328i Convertible with iDrive. My Blackberry 8700 will connect fine, but I cannot call using the iDrive. Blackberry will not recognize the command, however, if I call from the Blackberry it will work fine with the iDrive. Incoming call works great. I just can't get the car to initiate the call. Any fixes? patches?

When I test drove the 335 coupe, i hooked my razr (t-mobile) up to the bluetooth...it downloaded the phonebook fine and was able to dial calls...only problem is after about a second or two after the call connected, i'd lose the other person. the connection didn't drop, i just couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear me. i also have a blackerry 8703e with sprint, however i didn't try to pair it up then. i'm just hoping it was a problem with the car...has anyone seen or heard of this before?

My Treo 700W is having problems lately with pairing....the past few weeks my phone cannot pair with the Bluetooth? Before it worked fine and the setting are all still the same? What's the cause?

treo's are notoriously problematic.

My advice - stick with a Moto.

Most Motorola phones seem to work (even my crappy old E815!).

Yes it's on the approved list - although not a Verizon phone.

Sorry if these phones were already listed, didn't want to read through all of the pages but thought I would contribute my luck. Definitely, BMW does not have all the phones that work listed...so it was a crap shoot when I got my Verison Samsung i760 Smart Phone. It worked fine, no problems with set up or operation...today for some reason it was unable to connect, but when I dialed from the phone it took over and worked. I also have an AT&T serviced iPhone...love the phone for the most part (speaker phone on it sucks royal and it can't recieve or send video or photos which is odd as it is so Apple oriented), both phones are linked into my 335xi...I believe it can accept up to four phones. One other thing about the iPhone...it only works with AT&T unless you hack into it which for some has rendered their phones useless depending on how old it is (the newer the greater the risk)...but what I really hate is you're tied to AT&T whose service in my area is good, but they now have a $99/month program with unlimited talk time anytime in the US but it's not available to iPhone users...this makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE...they bait us in if we want their phone...make us use AT&T and then don't let us take advantage of their special offers. Ridiculous...I wouldn't have bought the thing if I had known they jerked people around like this...APPLE is low on my list now. My iPod was stolen and I replaced it with the far superior Archos...better value, more gigs and a bigger picture!! Sorry to rant.
