Well....I order dual tipped stromung cat back exhaust for my 318is.....and that was last monday....I have the receipt information and everything. I called and asked about shipping and he send me an email saying that stromung would then ship the exhaust after it was created the wednesday after. So its still thursday and I gave them a call yesterday ( a week after it should have been shipped ) and he told me he would get in contact with stromung for me and send me an email. I also asked for a tracking number for UPS and Chris Bethel (guessing the manager) said he send it to me in the last email in which it was not there....he said he will send it to me if he can find it? :eyecrazy What company doesnt keep a record of their sales? Can I expect for this exhaust to end up coming to my door? Anyone ever deal with them before?:shifty

Understeer is one of the best vendors this site has. Chris is a great guy to do business with.
Sounds like a glitch, but you'll get your exhaust. I understand your frustration, though, wanting to hurry and get your stuff!

Dude get your money back and the hell with them. I dont do well with people who do business like that. Thanks for the heads up, I now know to stay away.
To me the best thing about buying something is feeling satisfied that you got what you wanted and was treated with respect. When crap like this happens, I would call my credit card company and immediately report that. Why do you ask, cause you dont know him and he dont know you. There is no such thing as a trust when it comes to business over the web.

I also delt with them.
Don't fret it's X-mas & the New Years, people are busy & I don't mean only Chris.
Top notch service always in my dealings with them @ Understeer.com.
You will get your exhaust & to add about the Stromung exhaust you purchased, you'll love it.

I ordered my H&R springs from them...no problem.
They really are one of the best vendors on here.
It's probably just the holiday season keeping everybody busy...
You'll get it.

Overall I've had pretty good service from them and good prices on the few items I bought.
Only complaint is that I did purchase a 'selector rod pivot joint' (I think) as a cheap extra to a bigger order already in place. After 2-3 really difficult attempts to replace the part I called for guidance and they said the retaining clip should just slide off. Well, no it doesn't so when I asked if there was a trick they said "Well it's real easy if you do it on a lift..." Like most people have access to a lift. Anyway, about a year later I did use a lift and it was still impossible to change the part. The retired mechanic said he saw no way to switch out the part without removing that whole section of the transmission.
I'd be real pissed, but it was only a $20 piece.

I had a good experience with them as my parts were shipped and received very fast; some things are on the expensive side, but you pay for good quality and great service.

If you remove the cats and drop the driveshaft, the clip will be easily accessible; without having to use a lift.;)
I've never dealt with Understeer but plan on purchasing some parts from them soon. I'll probably steer clear of them until the holidays are over, that way we all have less crap to worry about.
Bought suspension, and then angel eyes. All good.

Anyone ever deal with them before?:shiftyI've never bought anything from him but I've known him through ti mailing lists and message boards for years.
I would not be worried and chalk it up to the holiday shipping season.
I don't know the size of Chris' company but my guess is it's a small company created out of his hobby and passion, like most companies.
Some are larger than others, but most started the same way.
