Has anyone done an oil change on a 335i yet? Did you follow the same instructions on the oil change for an e90 how too? What was all needed. 7 qrts of oil, oil filter, maybe a new washer.

Should probally get a filter socket to remove the oil filter cap. Other than that you've got it all. Make sure you change your o-rings and crush washers. If you get a BMW filter it comes in a seperate bag in the filter box.

Changed my oil right after the break in on my 335 and used just under 7 quarts to get it to max on the BC oil meter. The cap for the oil filter came off by hand.
It was a peice of cake to change the oil. Hope that helps.

Anybody do a writeup for a 335i oil change. The E90 post had the DIY instructions but all pics are gone.

its the same:
-make sure the vehicle is at operating temp.
-open the oil cap
-loosen ol filter housing cap w/proper socket, this allows the oil to drain out of housing into pan, another reason for the car to be at operating temp.
-and the rest is self explanatory
be sure to change crush washer, o-rings, and be sure to check tire pressures as well.
