The color is awesome....on a bright and sunny day it looks very silvery blue. On a very cloudy day it looks a deep grey, and on the days in betweeen it does have the silvery green hint. I love it, it is so unique. After I get permissions to post I will!!!

Actually, the grey poplar in my car has some strong brown tones (if I am not color blind), but it doesn't really bother me as I am happy with this color combination.

You are absolutely right about the rate.....they are cheaper than most states, and any special interest group can get their plates done up with a petition and a certain amount of prepaid orders (i think 300).....it is crazy....and very easy to get, I only waited 2 weeks for my plates.

Okay, I ordered my car today. This thread had a definite influence on me. Somewhere there is a picture comparing the space and graphite colors. Also a pic with saddle leather. This coupled with the brochure landed the following results:

2. The color of the headliner, can anyone speak to this in a car with saddle? Is this going to commit a color trifecta (dash, seats, headliner)?

I am so ready to have this car but I have to wait till May, rats.

I've noticed that the saddle is looking a little "dirty", i.e. like a well worn baseball glove. I haven't decided if it gives the leather "character", or if it just looks dirty. :confused

FYI -- the saphire black metallic is a pain ITA. My mom's Benz is also black, and has 0 scratches and swirl marks. My car is six months newer and is covered in small nicks and other scratches. The finish on my e36 was 10 times more durable. I would suggest staying away from this color in particualr and black in general.

I did a little research to see if these colors actually do blend. While this color combination is not dynamic, an all-neutral palate is sophisticated. An all-neutral palate blends together.

The gray headliner will draw in the gray exterior. Mine is the first such combination - should be rather unique.

If I was leasing the car, and therefore keeping it only 2-3 years, I'd go with something more dynamic and more risky, like monaco or atlantic. I have that exact same combo, and I love it. The saddle is very hard to photograph, and sometimes comes out looking orange in them. It really is a color you have to see in person, but everyone that sees my car likes the combo.

I love that dark green, but it is harder to resale. If I were going to keep a car forever, it would be green with tan interior. But I don't keep cars more than a couple of years. For resale, folks love black, grey, and silver BMWs.


Couldn't agree with you more, that is why I leased my Deep Metallic Green 335i coupe with cream beige interior. That way I don't have to worry about what someone else would like, only me.
