I have an '98 auto 328 with 93K miles that you can have for $10k, and then spend the remaining $8k on mods to make it faster than an M3. Cheaper on the insurance too!

Appreciate the offer but I am looking for an M3...no diss on the 328 however...just want a stock M3 as I don't have the time to do the research on the right mods and want to be able to sell it quickly if I need to - or when my wife tells me it needs to go, such as "either it goes or you go!"

Are you in Tulsa? I work for Hilti so I was just out there in October for 3 weeks....

i have a 1998 auto m3 4dr with 65k miles. estoril blue on dove.
purchased from original owner, all records, no mods. 100% stock.
moonroof, heated seats, cd changer, dealer installed alarm, hk stereo (front tweeters sound blown tho)
tires are decent.

im looking to get 16,250 obo for it.

shipping would be around 1500$

if you fly out to baltimore to see it, and dont like this car, i'll refund your plane ticket.

inspection 2 just completed, as well as new rear rotors, calipers, and pads.

Appreciate all the support and advice, plus 3 offers of great cars from MD, IL, and MN :D .....at this point I am still going to hold out for a car closer to Seattle, but the point is well-taken that I should not let distance come between me and the RIGHT car....in a sophomoric tone, Waukegan sounds like a great idea - being a HUGE Cubs fan (yes ChicagoCubs 26 is for my all-time favorite Cubbie Billy Williams) coming out to see a spring game and picking up an M3 sounds absolutely delicious....

NO calls from Guido, and I am sleeping like a baby :embarrasm ....actually I went to the dark yesterday andtest drove a '99 v70 R wagon :nono - hey it was only two miles from my house - great shape cosmetically including the driver's seat buy again no service records. Pretty quick car too, especially in the middle RPM's but it's NO bimmer - but it is also AWD and a lot cheaper :cool ....and the only other wagon I like in terms of performance and looks (though a distant second to the 5 series) but the problems/issues list is substantial....and I thought the bimmers were finicky...:eek:

Any of y'all driven or own(ed) one of these and came to the same conclusions?

Mileage: Prefer<100K miles, but >100K OK with records/great condition
Price: Maximum is $17K if within 200 miles, $16K within 1000 miles
Other: Prefer stock (Dinan, Custom wheels OK), spoiler OK, no lux pkg

Expanding the search to nationwide again...almost pulled the trigger on a '98 59K cosmos black on black with power heated seats, double spokes, spoiler, mint inside, good mechanicals, but 4 body panels while original had been repainted/repaired and the buyer inspection showed the clearcoat did not match the rest of the car so I had to pass on it - Texas car...damn! I really thought this was the one!!! I had already lined up a carrier and my excuse for buying to my wife....:(
