i have a '85 535i, i love it to death, but i want more power, and less miles. im about to get a new job (lots more money). I've decided im gonna run this big six 'til it blows, and buy a mid-90's m3 after that. what should i look for in one? how much money am i looking at here?

Get an Estoril ok

You'll find plenty of great m3's for between 13-20 thousand. If you want my opinion, find the mintest one with the lowest miles, they are almost always worth the premium.

estoril blue or dakar yellow! the two freshest e36 colors:cool

in my opinion, best color for e36:

COSMOS BLACK METALLIC

I usually hate the silver look and love the black look, so this is like a black cosmos black with a metallic finish that adds a silver hint to it. Looks great and hides scratches and swirls like no other! Now that's practical!

if you are willing to pay 15+k you can get a verry nice low mileage M3. like said above get an s52(s50 just doesnt cut it) with OBD1 conversion.
