Looks about $1495 off of MSRP. Sounds like a good deal to me.
The dealers in this area (Bay Area, Northern California) have no trouble selling cars, and give much less of a discount.

TTL = Tax, Title and License. Something you can't get away from.

how much is TTL usually then? 8% for tax still correct? A few hundred for title and license?

Tax = 8.25% for Santa Clara County. License was almost $300.00.

the dealer told me total would be 39900 + 2747.95 = 42647.95 drive out.
it seems 1495 off MSRP.... sounds ok.
