From The Worlds Fastest B6 A4 to a new BMW 335I

Whats up guys?
Just wanted to introduce myself. I just purchased a new 2007 BMW 335I 6 speed Manual 4 door... and heard this was a good forum to post on.
I am a huge Audi guy and have owned them for as long as I can remember. Some of you BMW guys I might know or maybe have heard of my car.... i have a 2004 Audi A4 Avant (wagon) that currently holds the world record for the fastest 2002-2005.5 Audi A4. I went 12.63@108.70 at fontana speedway in it.
However I wanted to try something new. I have some BMW freinds that we always go back and forth with audi vs bmw. I have done a lot of research on the new 335I so I decided to get one.
It will be here on the 26th of this month.

Basicly I wanted to get it fullly loaded. They said it was going to be a while before the car would arrive but they found one on a ship that was on its way to UTAH...it just happen to have everything I wanted.
As of now I have 3 car but selling the wagon. I also have a 2007 A4 2.0turbo 6 speed quattro.
Looking forward to see what I can do with the 335 and see what results we can get out of it....

I cant post pics yet, but I will soon of all the cars!

Welcome Charlie! That 335 sounds terrific. I came from an 04 Audi A8L which I thought was a real looker but the lack of support from both the dealer and Audi chased me into a 328XI coupe and I LOVE IT!!!

Welcome man..I've seen your avant a bunch of times over on Az...Yeah & it was fast as sh!t. Didn't you end up parting it out? The aftermarket stuff.

I had a 98 A4 Pearl white stg3 myself before the M3.

When I lived in SoCal I had a 1.8T and used to hang with teh Audi crowd...although I never tracked it...that duty was reserved for my blown Saleen and my M Roadster.

I used to go to the drags at Carlsbad and Cal Speedway with a guy named Mike who was sponsored with his Blue 1999 B4 A4 1.8TQM. He was running a PES kit back then (2001/2002) and was in the low-mid 13's...although my bone stock 240 HP S52 M Roadster beat him at the strip when I caught him napping :D

I will be returning to SoCal next month and have a 335 sedan/6 speed on order which will be ready in late January. We should hook up and hit the strip. With my drag experience I am shooting for high 12's stock :devillook and mid-low 12's with the XEDE chip.

He is the one that orignaly drove my car into the world record 1/4 times

Right now mikes car is putting down 500+ HP to the wheels and running low 11's and with traction he will run 10's no prob!

im really looking forward to tuning hte 335 and ccant wait to see what it can do!

Given the weight of the 335 and lack of LSD it will be difficult to make really fast, but I'm also looking forward to seeing what it can do.

BTW, I heard Carlsbad has closed down. What other quarter mile drag strips other than Cal Speedway are open?

Yea a shame that carlsbad closed down...it was a shit whole but very good times were ran there.

there are a few places... fontana speedway is nice...that is where i ran the 12.63 in my wagon...it is a slower track but we have to take what we can get.

also there is pomona .... and we drive out to sacramento raceway a lot to race...its far but its only 100 feet above sea level and always has cold temps.
