Radio problem

I recently replaced the battery in my 99' M3 and when I started the car, the stock radio read "code" I entered 2 wrong codes and it changed to "code wait" where I cant re-enter ANYthing and its been like that ever since. I read the car manual but it said I must have the code that came with the car to override it... which I can't find. the manual also said the "code wait" will go back to let me enter more codes after an hour but it hasn't. Is there anything I can do besides going to the dealership to have it overridden?

Go to the service departement at your local dealership. They will give it to you.

take the radio out overnight - cut off all power to it

reinstall it. if it still says code wait, wait 1 hour.
