Hi all.

We're offering for sale our 1993 4 door BMW 325i as we've bought a new car which we're collecting on Monday. We've been offered $1500 for the BMW as a trade in but we know it's worth more and therefore it's open to offers.

Some info:

184,300 miles
Gold exterior colour
Tan leather interior
Automatic - shifts beautifully
Electric, heated seats for passenger and driver
Electric windows all round
A/C
18 button computer
3 month old JVC CD/DVD player (no monitor, just use it for playing WMAs on DVDs but can plug into a monitor)
BMW 16" wheels (good condition) with Dunlop Sport Winter tires (good condition)
Vault Jade 16" chrome wheels (good condition) with non-winter tyres (good condition) http://www.thewheelconnection.com/php/showwheel.php?name=Jade&brand=Vault&brandsearch=1
Original steel 15" spare and tire
Complete toolkit
Electric sunroof
Engine runs beautifully
Single exit chrome exhaust
New thermostat
New rear window switches for front console
New hood badge
New kidney grilles
New composite impellor water pump - not yet fitted
Oil and coolant change within last 2 months
We purchased it from Craig Sportscars in Staunton VA in August - we have the sales receipt. It was bought for cash and has no payments outstanding on it.

The clinching stuff:

The front has been in a bump but has been semi-straightened - no effect on driving or handling. The hood isn't aligned perfectly but opens and closes fine. The driver's side wheel arch has signs of damage.
The driver's seat cushion is torn. The passenger seat is 7/10 and rear seats 10/10. All carpets are nice.
The driver's side window squeels when going down and passenger side is a slow starter. Rear windows move as new.
The stereo doesn't pick up any radio stations.
It is throwing engine code 1221 - Oxygen Sensor. I have a new Bosch one ready to fit ($85 approx).
It has developed a minor oil leak which appears to be at the bottom of the engine - I have not looked into this yet.
I only have 1 key for the car.

All in all it is a great car with a few niggles that can probably all be alleviated for not much time and money. It runs beautifully and has never let us down. With the winter tires on it should be good for the winter.

Please e-mail or call me with any questions.

As a ball park figure, I am looking for $3000+ but as I have already said I have been offered $1500 trade in.

The real stickler of this is that I do need cash before this Monday (18th December) as I am picking the new car up Monday at some stage. We are available any time Sunday or Monday. I can only accept cash or PayPal (at a push). I have all the paperwork except the title which is currently at the dealership in Charlottesville as a way of showing them I am committed to buying their car - I will collect this as and when somebody buys the car.

Final say in any sale is ours - nothing is final until cash and title are exchanged.

We are located in Waynesboro, Virginia.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow in the day time, but I have 2 taken in the summer below.

Thanks,

Jason

when will you have the title?

If the dealership's open tomorrow I can drive to Charlottesville and pick it up. If they're not (and I'm sure they would be) 1st thing Monday morning. I'm pretty disappointed that I left that and not $200 or something.

Are you interested? Please fire any questions at me.

I forgot to mention the OBC is also showing 'Low Coolant Warning'. This is a dodgey sensor as the level is perfect, but I haven't got around to fixing this yet.

Jason.

I should add that the car was involved in whatever accident it was before we purchased it. Therefore, the above photos are after whatever repairs were carried out. It doesn't show the full extent of the damage, but it can be seen that in no way is driveability affected.

Thanks,

Jason.

That's OK, I haven't seen 1 car on here that has sold anyway - just a bunch of useless comments ^^^

Hey Justin.

Really sorry but it's already gone. I got $2800 in the end so pretty happy with that.
