I drove my new leased sedan for 3 days until I was sick of baking inside my cabin, I went to beverly hills bmw and the service manager sean said 1 other person had turned their in regarging this same problem. Sean said the water pump was to be faulted, but then i had a conversation with a friend saying they recalled all the 335's in europe so I am wondering if anybody else has felt the in cabin temperature to be over bearing and my firend also said that they built the hose too thin that suppies the water which cools the turbo's. I noticed 2 other problems, soon as i got on the freeway it had a huge alignment problem and then the 3rd one is that the idle is always erratic from a cold, cool and a warm start up shows the same results. So I am quite frustrated with myself knowing i should have waiting for bmw to work it all the kinks in the first year of selling a turbo car to the public, not F1 race car which they have made before so that raises eyebrows.

I've had mine for close to 1-month without any heating or alignment issues.

From a cold start, engine it slightly erratic in idle, and shifts from 1st to 2nd is a little jerky. However, after ~5 minutes of moderate driving, this goes away. The car manual says NOT to let the car "warm up" by letting it idle after starting it. Which is fine, but not sure if the jerkiness is normal.

I have not noticed any heating or alignment issues either. The idle is slightly eratic when cold (as "cold" as San Diego gets) but nothing alarming and it smooths out quickly.

Nothing noted on the 328xi, engine operates quite smoothly.

Bought my 2007 335i Sedan on 10/4/2006.
Not a single problem car is flawless!

I notice that the heat does tend to blow up the front of the windshield and into my eyes a bit. drying out my contacts.

I've also noticed with the 18" wheels, as compared to my Audi S4 w/17", that they will follow the road even more, giving the impression that the alignment is off. With the 17" winter tires now, alignments is fine.

i think that's what you're feeling.

you must be the guy that came over to Irvine BMW also. If you are, then you were eating a sandwich, and talking to the shop forman, and complaining, and saying "what are you talking about," "i dont use the a/c," "its a known fact that BMW did not engineer this engine well enough!" That guy also mentioned Sean from BH BMW. That guy needs some SERIOUS help.

IS THEY'RE ANYTHING BMW CAN DO TO FIX THIS HEATING PROBLEM! I had been plagued by not just 1 but 3 issues and for a brand new 45,000 car I am very frustrated nad dissapointed, wouldn't anybody be. I had a 2005 S4 manual, which was great but my knee needed a rest so I rushed into leasing the 335i without waiting for them to fix the potential kinks they might have, one is taking more than a calculated risks buying any car that just came out within they're 1st turbo mass produced during they're 1st year. So, I am angry and frustrated cause I wasn't happy being hot inside my cabin cause the car is made to run at a very high temp which generates the good gas milage. This problem is there for a few, maybe some don't care but it is clearly auvious to me that there is an unnecessary amount of heat that comes into the cabin, how comforting is that. I am picky, I also had high expectations buying a (my 1st) 2007 BMW, wouldn't you. I am glad that Irvine has been pretty good to me throughout this whole experience from the start despite what others have mentioned here because thay have fired all those older people that tainted they're reputation. The software Irvine updated my car with will fix the erratic idling problem so the service manager said. That's 1 down but the alignment problem with the car's tendency to drift to the right after just a couple of seconds is apparently normal and from what someone just said it's because it has the 18' tires so that kinda blows, but otherwise they have a BMW Engineer that comes once a month to Irvine and he is due to be there thursday, so he will overlook the car and take the milage which is 300 and make a decision as to what he will authorize BMW to repair if any, so that is great assurance that will make me feel safe and happy about spending 1K a month for this beautiful car that smokes my 05 S4 stock to stock.

You can adjust the temperature of the air coming out of just the dash vents with the roller in the center vent area so it won't dry out your eyes. BMW says it helps keep the driver more alert with cool air up top.

Your drift to the right is the low pro tires and 18" wheels following the road crown. You can make some adjustments that will help compensate for it, but at the risk for increased tire wear.

this beautiful car that smokes my 05 S4 stock to stock.

It most certainly does not! You should've learned to launch your S4 then with its AWD... Why can't you just open the windows?

I would be inclined to think a 335i is faster than a B7 S4.

I had a 2001 Audi S4, chipped, more rated torque and HP than the 335i.

The 335i is *definitely* faster and smoother than a chipped S4.

However, a stock 2001 S4's engine is smoother than the 335i.

also, the boost lag on the stock S4 was more than the 335i, and a chipped S4 has ALOT more lag, and I had to be very careful with how much gas, and for how long, knowing the turbos will kick in, and then I'm going too fast.

I do miss putting down power without worrying about getting grip, but I don't miss the understeer!

Now, I just need to learn to use the oversteer right! :-)
