Headlight Switch Cluster Bulb Type?

Anyone knows the type of bulb that's in the headlight switch cluster. I took it out today and it's blown. Is this something that I can purchase at Wal*Mart?

TIP: If you use a Jewerler's Magnifying Glass, it blows up the filament like 20X. It looks like a giant wire!

I replaced mine with Sylvania #2721 european lamps, 1.2 watts. Got them at Kragen. Works great. Do a search and there is a thread on replacement. Took me about 10 min. to replace mine. Good luck.

I got a mini bulb from Autozone. Fit fine...works great.

I got one from the dealer today, it was like dollar something, cheap.

The problem with the BMW bulbs is that the filament is so fine that it breaks from the vibration. The Sylvania's are a little higher wattage, have a larger filament, and hopefully, will last longer.
