After having it sit since Thursday due to the exhaust getting torn off by the shipping company, I drove the car for the first time last night. My first trip was to the car wash, since it literally was covered in filth from the cross country trip (Boston-Seattle).
Here are some crappy shots I took in my garage, more to come later.
TCD s2, 8psi spring (but have a boost controller), MSD BTM and an FMU. Feels pretty quick with the boost controller disconnected, but it's raining like a bitch today so I didn't get a chance to really get on it too hard.

Sweet! Hope the shipper pays for the exhaust. I want a set of those wheels for mine. :D

Fortunately it was only ~$200 worth of damage because their policy specifically excluded damage to exhaust.

Guess we now know why! :confused

you lucky bastard. I want a TCD s2 setup in a bad way.... 1 soul for sale here! How much did it cost to get everything done? I know on their site it says about $6k, but I'm guessing that doesn't include installation, correct?
Sounds like the shipping company rips off a lot of exhausts if they specifically exclude damage in their policy.

We turned Cereal Killas setup to about 12 psi last night - I tuned him 12.0:1 afr across the max boost field and she was driving good :)

That's a good guess, I bought the car with it installed so can't really say for sure though. The kits are pretty complete (I bought an s1 a couple years ago) so you really won't have to spend much more money on parts, just tuning and other peripherals.

Yes, that's my guess too. :)

Nice! I've been waiting for you to post up pictures ever since I stumbled across one of your posts mentioning you'd just bought one, but it was getting shipped across the country. I expect many, MANY more once it's dry.:)

Thanks everyone. There is still work to be done on the car, but I'm glad the PO did the hardest 90%. :)
Stuff to do:
Eventually some kind tuning/standalone (megasquirt)
DOOR OPEN message despite all doors being shut :mad
BRAKE LINING message (pads are good, sensor busted)
Driver's seat bolster has a hole worn in it
Fan shroud
Paint intake tubing

Sounds like a very nice car. I am hoping to put this setup on my 535im someday. I will have to keep my eyes peeled for your car what area of seattle are you in?

Looking good :)
My only problem with TCD is with the recirc. I don't know if the vent tube has a check valve and I pressurized my crankcase. Just something to be on the look for.
