WTB: E34 Hella or Bosch Ellipsoid Smiley Headlights

I want to get a pair of low beam euro smileys from Hella or Bosch for my E34 540. Was wondering if these are H1 or 9006 applications. New or used, single light unit or whole assembly, please let me know what you got. Thanks!

The euro stuff is all H1. The Bosch units do not have the smiley but they do have the city light. The Hella units have the smiley and the city light.

I bought brand new Hella smoked smiley lights from www.abrahamsmotorsport.com (http://www.abrahamsmotorsport.com) They are expensive bt I know exactly what I'm getting: brand new headlights with no pitting and no rusty parts.

I think you will find most Bosch units don't have the smiley and were the least produced. Every used Bosch E32/E34 unit I've ever ran across in the past 6 years on ebay.de, ebay.com, etc did not have the smiley. The first xenon lamps used in the E32 were Bosch as well and did not have the smiley.

Since the smiley reflector is part of the lense, and the lense says Bosch on the face, it must be the case.

Can e30 lights be used in e34's? I've seen e30 Bosch smiley lights.

Hmm, hope I didn't get E30 lights. They were dirt cheap so I just grabbed them. I havn't compared them to whats on the car yet because it's damn dark out when I get home from work.:thumbdown

The mounting tabs are in the wrong place, they don't work. E32 are the same as E34.

The mounting tabs to the E30 lights don't line up with mounting points on the E34 bracket. You know how E34 has 3 tabs? So does E30... but different 3.

looks like i'm going for hellas then... but i'm having a hard time finding a pair. anyone know where i can get them? also would the single euro light units fit on the US assembly or would i have to buy the complete assembly? this is my first time changing the headlight unit so i'm kind of a newby at this.
