Im at an intersection, first in line, and i see a bew modded Sti to the left of me, - younger kid mabye my age with a hood and aviators. He gave me a look and took off full speed, I was trying to kill time before picking my girlfriend up because i knew she would be late.
I passed 2 cars out, and sped ahead to finally catch up to him. I was right behind him and we both passed a car, speeding ahead on a main road. We cought up to a light , and put the blinkers on right off the main road onto some back roads. I turned traction control off and started revving the engine.
Light turned green and we both started off and made a quick right turn. His all wheel drive gripped nice as we spun out on some sand, My car was almost completely sideways with the tires spinning, I let off, straightened it out and punched it again. He was about 4 car lenghts ahead of me, and i cought up to him by third, We were doing about 90 on some back road, and i slowed down a bit, and he kept going.
We came up to a corner, I came around doing about 60, he must have been doing 70, i saw his wheels smoking and heard his tires screetching. he was mabye 3 or 4 cars ahead of me as we came up to a slight climbing straightaway, I dropped down to third and floored it and caught up to him, however i wasnt feeling risky enough to pass him. We came up to a nice jetta GLI, and the Sti tailgated him pretty bad. We then both passed him and he floored it also. we were coming up to a red light, and we all started to slow down right as it turned green, and we floored it. The intersection had a bump right before the 4 way, and the kid went RIGHT over it. ALL 4 OFF THE PAVEMENT. - Probably one of the coolest things ive seen on the road. Most dangerous also, and i slowed down and went over the bump not so bad. The Jetta was aproaching, and i wasnt going exsessivly fast, as we approached the residential area, STi kept bolting ahead, and gave us the:buttrock sign. I was now about 15 miles out of the way, but it was definetly worth it.
Also, I LOVE those Stis. I think they are pretty great cars. Also, hell be driving around in a foot of snow when my m3 is nestled under the car cover in the garage as soon as the first flake of snow comes down
I definetly could have passed him, but didnt want to total my new m3. Sti definetly did well in the twisties though.
