Not sure if mine is single or dual.

There were 2 M52s made - the M52 and M52TU, but I think the TU was the european alloy block version and didn't represent the VANOS spec.

This may be a stupid question but I have never known how to find out.

Reason why I ask it because I am looking into getting a Eurosport cam kit.

I don't think any E36's were dual vanos in the US apart from the 323i/is

The M52B28TU only came in the E39 528's. Not even the 323 had the dual vanos. The 323 motor is M52B25, a sad motor :devillook :devillook :devillook

All M52 engines are single VANOS and all M52TU engines have dual VANOS...M52 and M52TU heads are not compatible
