Stuck Seatbelt Arm

Ok, so I was a little worried when I saw that the coupe had the retractable seatbelt arms because it just looked like something that was likely to break. But I bought my 335i anyway (black sapphire metallic, saddle brown interior, auto w/paddles, premium & sports packages, comfort access, active steering (I LOVE THIS)), and was having a grand ol' time driving it. But my passenger noticed that the passenger side arm won't retract all the way. It sticks out about 3". Sooo annoying.

Has anyone else had a problem with these things?
