I was driving to my parents place with my mom after work last night & I was just minding my own business doing about 90 in the left lane. I come up on some slower traffic in the left lane and pass in the middle lane. No problem.

Once I'm back in the left lane I notice a Maxima start tailing me & he stayed there for about 20 miles.

Anyway there's a two lane off ramp which narrows to one lane (express lanes to collectors) and I merge into the right lane. The Max was still up my ass and he (some kid driving mom or dads car) thought he would go for the pass before it narrowed to one lane.

He guns it and I wait a split second until hes at my passenger door before I go. His advance stops immediately and I start kreeping away. I finish 3rd gear & my mom is yelling into my ear since I was going 100+. The kid backs off quickly and merges behind me & then does a ricer fly by.

Theres a bit of a difference when you're a graduate running the family business and working along side your mom as opposed to what appeared to be a high school kid who borrowed moms or dads car.

:rolleyes Ignorant statement of the hour...and of course, it's a driver of the prestigious 325 that has to say it.

Hey now kids, let's calm down. Nice kill! 3.5 Maximas can be mean cars, but they are no 540i :)

I don't like to think of rice as just a "japanese" car, because I have seen some ricy domestics as well! Even Rice Mustangs! Now those are classic. I like to think of rice as following the phisophy "Fuction follows form" or "all bling and no bang". If a 'ricer' has a fully built i4 pushing 500 horses on an AWD platform with a big spoiler, flashy rims, and a flashy body kit, well then I say rice FTW and down with the V6 Mustang pushing 200hp with RWD (as an example).

Just my personal viewpoint. To each his own.

I'm hurt.

I'm so hurt by the insinuation of the insecure 325 owner who probably never paid for his car that I am a ricer. Yes I am. I'm so hurt by the comments of a kid from a small Wisconsin town that I could cry. BTW, hey, have they installed traffic lights in your town yet?

Anyhow.

Two requirements for me to care about your personal insults:

• You've grown pubic hair.
• You've actually paid for your cars.

Looks like you've got a few years to go, sonny.

PS: You sound like Vader Jr. - a person who has set off to use his cars as his penis extension, and/or to make statement about him/herself (you never know), instead of just enjoying cars in general.

I suggest you start talking when you get something a little more virile than a BMW 325, as it will likely shrink your manhood, instead of extending it.

Ask Vader for suggestions, and maybe some money, while you're at it.

Ok. Use some damn common sense. Those obviously aren't his cars. He was posting the pictures to be ironic. That is to say, all those cars are "ricer modded" 3 series. So he posted them to make fun of the assertion by a 325 driver (pst... that's you) that the Maxima is a ricer car when so many 3 series drivers are in truth, ricers. Get the picture now?

Toot toot! Now boarding at logical train of thought. Last stop: You.

He'd been following me for about 20 miles trying to get around me, but traffic was dense so he failed everytime. And even if he was able to pass me its not like there was a clear lane infront of me, he would've just had the satisfaction of being ahead of me. In one foolish attempt he cut across 4 lanes F&F style, only to get caught behind an 18 wheeler.:rolleyes

I understand what you're saying since that happens frequently to me w/ slower drivers, but this wasn't one of those situations.

I dont know how to post pics and i am 18 not 16 and making paymenys on my car while attending marquette university. Racine isnt that small, in fact it has the second highest crime rate it the state, second only to milwaukee which is where i am living now. We have plnty of traffic lights here. 2004 325i with 14000 miles.

Nice kill with the 540. I tried a 94 540 before, it was an automatic. I pressed down on the accelerator and that think just kicked in, but I still had room to floor it, and when I did, wow...that thing really took off. It's a pretty fast car.

To the poster making stupid comments, you don't have to like a certain car, but we know that the Japanese cars do not suck. BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are spending millions COMPETETING with the Japanese because their cars are good. I believe the best in the world comes from Germany, but we all know the Japanese make a really good product.

BTW, care to trade that 325 for the new POS Japanese Nissan Skyline?

Ok guys, I think you might have taken this a little too far. I dont hate all japanese cars but I dont like ricer cars. RX-7, 350Z, Skyline, Supra, and maybe even an S 2000 are good cars. I know "then why did u say your hate japanese cars?" Just let it go.

I also have a distinct preference for German cars, not to undermine anything that comes from Japan. There are several cars which are Japanese that I'd like to own at some point.

My car is stock and it was kind of close. It wasn't like I was walking away from him, just inching away at a steady rate. G35s would be a closer race.

as sooon as i read express/collectors i knew you were from t.o.

that being the case, are you talking about kilometers or miles per hour?

You're right. Sometimes we have to humble ourselves and realize that most bimmers on the road are 3's and still worthy of respect.

I've owned two generations of 325's in my day. It's not the car that's being "hated on", but the attitude of some of the drivers of these entry-level BMWs, and their general attitude, because they happen to have a car with the "right badge" in their eyes.
