I am looking to buy a 335i coupe with European Delivery to save some cash. I have offered 41610 plus tax (Cold Weather, Sport, Premium, Automatic :(, Paddle Shifters) to many dealers and no bite. Any recommendations?

Shop a wider area, faxing your proposal out of state if necessary. Can't hurt to try, all they're doing is filling out paperwork for you.

EDIT: and switch to a manual :)

riiiiight....you want to take that chance on a trip to Europe? Um, the paperwork they fill out is stuff like passport info, proof of purchase, insurance info, car specification, arrival/departure dates, anything that the factory or the German government might need to allow you to drive in Germany and or Europe. So, yeah, they just fill out paperwork that can totally ruin your expensive trip. You might want to raise your offer there, sparky, and have someone that has done it before take care of it for you....ask me how I know....

don't let scott fool you. i ordered a 335i a month ago. offered a dealer $750 over ED invoice, expecting him to negotiate, and he said FINE, come on in and sign the paperwork. clearly i offered too much. All in, he's done about 2 hours of paperwork. Don't know how much time he'll have to spend once the car comes in.

:rofl Yes, let's throw away money. You think because this guy is trying to get a good deal on a car that the dealer is going to mess this up on purpose? Or do a better job on a few pages of paperwork for someone who pays more? Hilarious.

So far I have noticed bmw dealers to get very angry or irritated with the 1000$ above ED invoice off. They seem to be very possesive with their cars, I just found out that I can get a fully loaded (navi, sport, etc) IS350 for 35 and change plus tax. Both cars have their pros and cons, but the 335 is the hot bad girl that can excite with her moves, the IS350 is the more reliable type with maybe more brains :)

TahoeJoe -- can you tell me what dealer you got this deal from? I'm also in California and would appreciate the referral. I'm looking to purchase in March for a June p/u in Munich. Thx,

Since there's no dealership in Tahoe, he most likely went either to Reno or Sacto. Reno would be closer...

Would appreciate reference(s) to Dealer(s) with sales rep name(s) who will accept low markup from invoice. I can move quickly at the right price.

not if you go with an experienced CA. There are some CAs that are not comfortable with the whole process, but some others are. I've been writing a lof of ED orders this year for my customers, and every single of them was very happy in the end. It does help the fac that my dealer sent me to an ED this year, to see how the whole programs is run.

if you have questions, feel free to email or contact me through my website.

I'm still in the buying process. I contacted 3 diffferent dealers, and was told by one of them that "they didnt have any slots for ED cars" while another wouldn't negotiate off ED MSRP saying "That price is non-negotiable, and anyone who negotiates it is crazy."

I've talked/emailed with Irv, and its been 10 times easier to ask questions and get straight answers, and straight quotes. I'd highly recommend calling him.

Irv,

I live in Connecticut, is it possible for me to do business with you?
I having a hard time finding dealers who know ED and a harder time finders dealers who will negotiate with the price. I would not mind flying to CA to do the deal as long as I can have the car delivered in CT

I've read a variety of stories of invoice + $500-$750 for 335s from Californians, but can't seem to get anyone to provide a specific name. Is there some sort of taboo against that on this forum? I'm interested in Euro Delivery in early summer 07.

Irv, where in IL? I can fly there if need be. Are you willing to do business at 800 over ED invoice? Where would the car be delivered?
