I have been driving a G35 for the past 4 years and went down to scottsdale to test drive the new G35 and the new BMW335i. I had no idea what I had been missing. I used to think my G35 was a great car, now I think it was a toy compared to the 335. I would like to get some thoughts from any of you who are willing to do so. Anyone else like the sedan over the coupe, for some reason that is my choice. Is it possible to haggle on price for a BMW or do you have to pay sticker. This will be the most expensive car I have considered. Any thoughts on what package I should get. I drove the sports package today. I have other questions, but I have gone on long enough for now. Is there a 2007 forum yet, I did not see one?

This is the 2007 forum. There are threads below with pricing issues. I'm gunning for the wagon.

I think both cars are good looking, but the coupe does look better IMO. I got the sedan as a compromise between the wife and I. Plus we are thinking about having a kid soon, so if we ever had to haul the baby the sedan is the better choice. I am not sure about the price, I am stationed in Germany so I saved 4,500 off MSRP got a full loaded 335i sedan for 41.5k out the door.

Wow, great price.
I prefer the sedan over the coupe. It's a little more practical and I just prefer the looks over the coupe. You definitely need to get the sports package. I think the premium is a must-have, too... well at least Bluetooth is. Cold Weather you won't need since you're from AZ. :) Everything else is just personal preference. Get everything that you want though. You don't want to regret not getting anything after it's too late.

European delivery can save a lot of cash if you have the time to go over there. The down side is being on the autobahn during your car's break in period.

Just ordered my fully loaded 335i sedan with winter, sports and premium package + rear power shades.
Goes like stink and handles like tango dancer.
I am leasing for 15,000 miles/year
Upfront: $7200
Monthly: $516

my uncle is the general sales manager at the BMW dealership here. I saw him sell mamy E90s under sticker. And ONE coupe way under sticker. Let me know if you want more info.

I just sold my G35 coupe (6-speed, loaded) to buy a 335i (6-speed, performance pkg etc). I loved that Infiniti, but it was a very different car. It's engine was louder, shifter was shorter, clutch harder. The BMW is a luxury car AND a very fast sports car. The Infiniti burned oil (had to change every 2750 mi) and was very much a sports car.
The 335i is more fun to drive, IMHO. The thing is really fast, I'm still surprised by it. I think the Infiniti held corners a little better, but who cares, the BMW still handles great and I'm not doing timing runs around the cones.
PS I have the coupe and 2 kid seats in the back for my 5 year old and 2 year old. Get the coupe!

Steve..I'm one of the few that dislikes the look of the coupe (anxiously awating the next M to see if it will appeal to me), but love the look of the sedan with the sport package.
Did you drive the new generation of Infiniti G? The press is spewing on and on about it.
If I were in the market for sport sedan... I have a feeling it would come down to these two cars.
