Hey guys whats up I need you guys' opinion on cams. But before I ask you let me give you a little background on my 1997 328is. Performance wise I have (aFe CAI, RE underdrive pulleys, M50 intake manifold, JB racing LTW flywheel, M3 clutch assembly pressure plate ect.., AA Race Headers, AA track Pipe, stock M3 exhaust form my buddy, I still need ECU tuning as well as a new exhaust for sure. I was looking at installing some cams. I know that I could pick some M3 cams for about 350 bucks or so but I didn't know if the schricks were worth the extra $$$. Are they going to make bigger difference. (FYI recently I raced an 1995 M3 with an exhaust and a conforti chip from 70mph to about 120mph and he only pulled on me a car lenght and a half.) So my car is pretty heavly modded Im just looking for that extra push. Anyway what do you guys think I should do get the S52 cams or spend the extra to get a higher profile schrick cams??
Thanks in advance for your imput. I appreciate it!

I'm going to say you'll be pretty happy w/ a set of S52 cams, givin your current mods, it is most definatly the cheaper route, i'll have to check but i'm pretty sure you don't have to do any valve train modifications to run those..I wouldn't risk it w/ a set of schricks(at least run M3 springs) or you may have the same springs as an M3, like I said i'll have to check..you'll need injectors and engine mgmt. to run the schricks, where as you should be fine w/ the M3 cams, again cheaper..check out eurosport's 2.8l cam system which is basically what you have already i.e intake, m50 manifold, software(which you don't have, but should get/are going to get) minus a set of S52 3.2l M3 cams, they have a dyno comparison between a stock 328 and w/ their cam system installed stock: 169.79hp/180.97tq cams: 209.32hp/ 191.22tq thats w/o the exhaust you have which should give a big jump, I dynoed stock 207hp/195tq on my 96 M3, check it out http://www.eurosporthighperformance.com/cam_kits.html
they even have the parts broken up if you just need to pick nd chose
you will see more hp/tq out of the schricks but at alot more money
I am building my motor soon and will have a set of schricks in my motor, but i'm not worried about money, so i'll have a set of S52 cams for sale soon, make an offer if you decide to go that route

Thank you, Ya I'm well aware with my car approchin 100K (98,400) that it would ba a safe move to replace the springs and retainer, I can get stock one for about half off because I work at a dealership.:alright
