The subject says it all. I'm thinking about switching my auto insurance. Has anyone ever used Ameriprise (it's an American Express company)?

How do you like it?
Have you ever had to make a claim? If so, how was that process for you?

Any and all comments welcome!

Thanks

All I know is they are generally a crappy company in the financial services arena, which is where I compete with them. It isn't difficult. I didn't even know they did P&C.

Really? I'm kind of surprised to hear that simply because they are such a large and established company. I'll keep that data point in mind.

Anyone else?

Their quote to me for car insurance is almost 1/3 less than AAA. (farmers, statefarm are all in the general range of AAA). Geico was cheap as well, but I'd rather not give my business to a "pro police" corporation.:shifty

a guy with Amerprise rearended me back in april, they're a tough company to deal with and dont like to give up money like any insurance company. but anyway, I now have herniated disks in my neck and back as well as arthritis, and thats not good for a BMW automotive technician, so Im suing them
