Should be plenty of opinions in the billion or so answers already posted regarding the subject. :rolleyes

OK here's my 2-cents.

For a simple 1-inch drop try the Eibach or HR Sport. About $200-$250 from online and other car retailers.

For shocks, this is a preference... for street I STRONGLY suggest a set of Koni's for about $600. They are adjustable and you can tune your ride for the way you drive.

If you have a hard ass or do semi-serious track time, maybe the Bilstein Sports for $600... but the Koni IMHO trumps the Bilstein in that it offer adjustability which can also be tuned to track conditions.

IF you think you'll see a lot of track time... coil overs. Sachs, Bilstein, Tein all make great set-ups, but heck for $1200+.

I personally have a set of Eibach Sport Springs with Koni SA (Single Adjustable Shocks) and LOVE them on my 1995 M3. 1" drop and a great street ride.

My next upgrade is a set of Toyo R1 tires.

okay, i dont' care if people think I'm an ass. This damn subject has been covered WAY too many damn times. Every week there is at least 3 of these threads circulating. Use the damn search. Hell just go to any of the Bmw performance retailers that are advertised on this site. There are many configurations, and any will work.

Moral of this story: USE THE DAMN SEARCH

Haha, I am nice to some new guys. Just depends on if they do crap like this. No reason to take up server bandwith with repeat threads. Like the "How many miles on your m3?" Certain threads really annoy me.

Given that the post before yours gave a good comprehensive answer to the original poster it seems that it is you who is wasting bandwidth. If you don't like the thread read something else.

attaboy, I have just swapped my stock suspension for a set of Italian made Racing Dynamics coils and Koni SA shocks, it is a great street setup, very similar to the Eibach.

well I don't think I'm taking up too much bandwith since the only thing I hvae to load is my avatar. I don't even have a sig right now.

Also, the same could be said about your post. But thanks for your two cents. I really appreciated it. Perhaps I can invest it, and get 3 cents back from interest.

hey giter that was just a lighthearted dig at your post, but we should allow new members a bit more latitude. Matt.
Happy birthday for Sunday. (have deleted my sig to save bandwidth)

LoL, i like how you deleted your sig. I give new members some wriggle room at times. If it is a bit more rare of a subject and they tried searching, then sure. when it is as common as this, and they typed their title verbatim in the search engine, they still would've pulled 673 threads with all the information needed, I don't cut them any slack.

I'm not half as bad as many places. If they head into the FI section with newbie questions they'll get ripped. Hell rx7forum.net is one of the worst I've seen (man I enjoy that place :stickoutt).

Id have to whole heartedly agree with giterdone. There are topics that are only discussed every so often and you may not know what keywords to search for. But if you search for "suspension" just in the E36 M3 forum you get 250 threads. Take 20 minutes to read through them and go from there.
