New guy to BMW's want some HP

Hey im new to BMW's
I have a 98 318i BMW and would like to add some HP to it nuthin major
i looked for some turbo's but only found like one for $3500 and i was like naw bc im thinking about buy another BMW and swap out the motors and a whole bunch of other stuff,
and im about to buy a K&N cold air intake,
i was just wondering if theres like any chips or anything i can do to the motor to gain some HP
so if anybody got any ideas to add a lil bit of HP please shair with me

Dinan makes CAIs, chips. you also can get a catback with all that you gain about 25- 30 HP

thanks for the help i new to them i wished i could have gotten a M3 but i got 12 points on the ins. and that prolly would have been to hard to keep on the road,
but anyways i can pimp the 318 i aint got no problem with it

I'm not sure about the claim of 25-30hp with chip I/E, but you will at least notice a difference.

Shark Injector,borla Exhaust,cold Air Intake...and New Wheels. Wheels Done Help With Speed But It Sure Makes It Look Cool!! I Maybe Gained 25 Hp. Definatley Noticable.

wasnt aware you could put s14 parts on a 98 318

Conforti chip (are you a 96 or 95) forgot to read if you were a 42 ot 44 engine. If 96 Conforti flash program. I did the chip on a 42 engine purchased from TMS and it makes about 12 real hp which is a lot when you have 138 hp total and about 20 ft lbs torque which is good as well. You might get some hp from the CAI's out there and most likely nothing from the exhaust as BMW exhaust flow very well...
