Hi guys, i work at radio shack and today i hooked a customer up with a blackberry, we went out to her car to set it up on her new 325 and it seems that half her contacts are missing from the phone on the stereo. I dont have much experance with bluetooth and BMW's. Oh when you seach the phone book from the car it is missing letters, I'm the BMW dealer ship where she bought it cant help her either. Does anyone know much about this, is there a limit on the number of contacts the car can handle, she has 3326 of them!!
Help, Id like to help my customer!!!

According to BMW, the only supported Blackberry is the 8700c. Only entries in the Address Book will be accessible from the car. SIM Phone Book entries should be copied to the Address Book in order to be accessed from the car. The Cingular BlackBerry 8700c requires software SW V4.1.0.194 to operate with the BMW hands-free system.
Obviously, this info pertains to Cingular customers only. You didn't mention the name of the wireless provider.

My Blackberrty 7130 (Cingular) worked great with a 328i Coupe at the dealer. However, I have a few dozen names in my addresss book, so it makes me wonder if the huge number of entries could be the problem. I'm not sure why anyone really needs that many or what they'd do with them, and perhaps that was the thinking when designing the car. Perhaps they set a limit of 1000 or even a few hundred thinking that would surely be enough...
