Open track day / driving school with
Catered lunch, ambulance, corner workers and instructors....

If you guys ever wanted to see what the M3 can REALLY do on a track, this is it. :)

This event is in conjuction with the Bay Area Miata Club so the egos are pretty mellow and you'll run with some pretty experience auto-x and solo drivers.

3 classes of participation: novice, intermidiate and expert.

Shoot me an email directly: neuwest1@hotmail.com

Reg. is due Jan 5.

Thanks!

That is frigging cheap for Laguna Seca.

Please post more info on the number of run groups, #entrants, how many sets per class for how long.

I'll probably go if it isn't too crowded.

Thanks for asking guys!

Here's a clip of the email my friend, the event organizer.

1. the event is from 7am to 4pm on average
2. Average session length is 15 min or about 5 laps
3. About 4-5 sessions in the day. 2-3 in the am and 2-3 in the pm
4. There are only 3 run groups, by order of experience (nov/int/exp), each group is about 15-20. In this event 20, but keep in mind it's an F1 ok track so there is A LOT of room to drive/pass.

Email me or Aaron for further details but I think that covers it.

Hope to see you all there!

Might want to check with the organizer. Most require 18 years old minimum with valid license., etc. Some will allow 16 and older with valid license accompanied by a parent.

By all means go if you can.

DAMN! I'll be escaping the snow in Kona then.
I love to drive Laguna Seca. If you have never done it DO IT! It doesn't get any better. I haven't done it in years because it has gotten so expensive. That is a deal. Thanks for letting us know though. Maybe next time.

Luxom3:

If your talking about Arron Tachibana he runs a nice event. His are safer then most. While not a school he has enough instructors around to help most drivers of all levels.

First car is out at 9:00 AM and you run for a full half hour. That means if there are three run groups you run a half hour then take an hour off to check your tires and brakes and then run again. It is not unsual for drivers to skip the last session because they are tired and got their fill!

Aaron has Laguna Seca on Febuary 3, 2003 also. You can also contact Aaron at:

If you aren't driving, take a helmet and go for rides. Much scarier in the passenger seat :evil2
