intake sizing question?

there are way too many threads on intakes, im not digging through all the posts to find the easy answer to my question that will take one of you 2 seconds to answer :)

so i have an early build 3/94 M3 and am looking for a cheap intake, is 3" correct? i keep reading about 3.5" intakes but im not interested in changing my HFM. budget is the key here for my 196k 95 M3, thanks!! and i just want the sound anyway.

expensive mods go to my other car ;)

in fact, anyone have a used intake for sale less than $100? haha ghetto

cosmos racing cai, its a 3.5 inch intake but comes with this thing that raps around ur 3 inch hfm so that it will allow u to run a 3.5 inch intake, and its also good if u ever do decide to change ur hfm to a 3.5, so then u wont have to waste ur time and money buying a bigger intake to fit the .5 but thats only if u decide on a 3 inch intake...and its not very expensive in comparion to most big companies like dinan etc.
