Emergency flashers go off when door opens

OK so its kind of annoying but when i open the door the emergency flashers start going off.
I think it may be part of my alarm system that the previous owner dissconnected but maybe they only cut off the horn and not everything elce?
Any ideas would be great.

If it's not the alarm, it may be the crash sensor.

In my car the flashers came off randomly and I thought it was the alarm but it ended up being a bad crash sensor.

ahhh, this is good information... I swear the hazards go off for a flash maybe two in really hard turns. I always end up checking the directional leaver thinking i hit it in the excitement.

i had the same problem after i got my car, and it was an aftermarket alarm with the horn wires cut. i just got under the dash, and unhooked the alarm. problem solved.

So it's true that the car will turn on the emergency flashers in the event of a crash? That's really neat! :buttrock
