Based off the equipment he listed the asking price is right near MSRP.

he's not a troll. if youre not interested don't post. local dealer here is tossing on $5000-6000 wheel packages to every 335i they have in order to turn a tidy profit.

plus, if youre a georgia buyer you don't pay sales tax on a private party purchase. also he says it is his asking price. could be a good deal for someone depending on the details of the transaction. if he's trying to turn a profit, he either is a bmw employee and gets some huge discount, or he's a moron for paying 7% sales tax on a car that has 8% markup. of course, if he's selling the spot / allotment for it, he is probably just crazy. 335i is no M3.

Really?? I've already found a 335i in Iowa for $39900 (Stkr was $43xxx) and its brand new, 0 miles.

In Georgia a coupe with premium package, sport package, metallic paint, leather, navigation, and active steering stickers at $48,750. That puts invoice at about 44,850.

After tax thats about $48,000 if you get the car at invoice, which isn't necessarily going to happen. He may be offering the car hassle free at $1000 over invoice. I imagine he's a BMW salesman or something. Talk to 10 people about their car buying and negotiation experiences on a brand new redesigned car and how much fun it is, and then decide if he's asking an unreasonable amount of money.

If he's asking $49k + tax that would be far from a good deal. I'm assuming that he's covering the sales tax on the car. If he's not, he's off his rocker and needs to get out of here. I'm just saying some of you guys are absolutely ruthless and rude to people before even knowing their entire story. It makes me feel like I'm in here with a bunch of 15 year olds sometimes.

In response to Bimmerista Boy!

I am really curious what kind of options your 39000 dollar 335 has since I got mine fully loaded with 5000 off the sticker and no sales tax through military sales. Sounds like you really did well for yourself. Just make sure it comes with the engine in it.

Justin. If there is no sales tax on this car, that makes it a killer deal for any GA resident because of the no sales tax. Make sure you advertise it in http://atlanta.craigslist.org as well. You should easily find someone, especially considering they can still choose the build of the car. EBay may work, too. The one Bimmerista Boy is talking about probably is a lame sedan or a stripped down coupe.

If anyone wants an Individual program 335 coupe, I bet this is a deal of a lifetime, assuming the program is still around and you can apply the Individual program to this car.

Sorry, this whole thing smells funny. Im outlol since when didn't the government smell funny ;) i'm out too just b/c i don't care anymore. but i dont see what would be fishy about it. it's not like he's asking you pay him for the car before you get it or anything. sounds like another classic case of people being jerks to someone for no reason because they're either a) scared or b) intimidated. anyway gl with the sale hope i helped out.

i get what your saying about saving on sales tax on a used car

but how can this be a used car?

it isn't registered or even built yet.

so is this guy going to fill out all the paper work, pay the taxes, and then turn right around & sell it to some other fellow 5 min later?

doesn't make sense to me
seems like he's selling the slot...

to the op:
gl trying to recoup your loss on your audi...that's part of doing business, you paid for the convenience of getting rid of it quickly. trying to pass your losses off to others strikes me as sleazy especially since you indicate that you got a killer deal on the car & are in effect making a healthy profit on it

It's not sleazy if someone happily pays for it, but I doubt anyone is going to take this deal.

To me it sounds like he knows he's going to sell it as soon as it gets here so he's offering it to someone else since he wants to allocate his funds elsewhere than a brand new car due to not being stationed in Germany. Yes, it sounds like he is going to do the paperwork (assuming someone makes a committment) and then transfer the car immediately, or there may be a way to transfer the purchase agreement.

It sounds like he would rather give someone a great deal on a brand new coupe that he's locked into buying than lose a $2000 deposit. I don't see what does not make sense to you.

If I wanted to buy a brand new 335i coupe, I would probably do this considering it's probably a better deal than I could get on my own. However, I have no interest. Therefore I'm going to leave the thread alone. Why don't you ask him for the details before throwing out accusations? Pretty rude thing to do considering it's not some nigerian deal or sketchy crap like this.

Not to mention I bet if he scammed someone via the Military, he'd be going to jail for a long, long time. Goverment isn't too cool about being used for illegal activity (unless youre a politician or lawyer etc. lol). Anyway I'm clicking unsubscribe. Good luck guys.
