Hello everyone, newbee here with a couple of questions.
I have a pretty good idea, but what exactly do sways do? How will I benefit?
Can stock E36 M3 sways be installed on non M like 325is?
Is this a DIY possible project?
How many other parts (and aprox.cost) are needed? Thanks to all for your time and E36 wisdom.

M bars will not fit on a non M car. They mount to the struts differently. The reduce body roll and link together the suspension. Its often said that they are some of the most noticable suspension mods you can do. Down side is the suspension is less independent and the ride is a lil harsher. Its very DIY friendly. Not too hard at all. I would also get the rear sway bar tab re-enforcements. Don't wanna rip those off. All other stuff should be included with the kits. Hope it helps.

Yes the sway bars will fit. I got Eibach sways for my m3 and used my stock m3 sways on a 93 325i. I am speaking from first hand experience.

Ok VWRADO, but what suspension did you have on that 93 325i? was it stock or from from your M3 as well? Maybe that's why it fits? If not, did you have to do any modifications?

i had Mtech suspension so when i put H&R sways for an m3 on it they fit no problem.
the problem here is that
1. the stock non M e36 front sway is a larger diameter than the stock m3 front sways (ie- loosing diameter)
2. if you have sport suspension the upgrade in the rear is very minimal 1mm if they are stock 95 M3, and 2mm for stock 96-99 M3.
save up and buy a good set of aftermarket sways. you will get more out of them.
