Ok, I was trying to install the CF trim on my instrument cluster but I couldnt remove the transparent plastic cover... (if you can help, please do so, thanks)

Well, there was a thread on the "///M3 logo that doesnt lit up on the instrument cluster"...... so while I had the cluster opened, I noticed this.... (sorry for the quality, I used my cell phone) :rolleyes

This is the logo.... its right above the CHECK light on my 1993 Eurospec M

the back of the logo...... you can see the check light right below it...

A front view of the circuit board... the big bulb you see in the middle is the one that provides light to the center part of the console...

A close up of that bulb, right below it, there is a box, right inside of that box, is where te ///M3 logo is located... but since its enclosed on that plastic box, the light doest not reach the logo...

I figured, there is an easy way to provide light to that logo, just make a little hole on the top of the plastic box, right below the bulb, so whenever you turn on the lights, that bulb will turn on, and the logo will be lighted....

Before I go ahead and make the little hole (or cut) on that piece, I decided to try something else, there was a little bulb on the AIRBAG indicator, but I have no airbag, so I removed it, and placed right behind de ///M logo....

This is the location of the airbag bulb that I removed.... (since I dont have airbags on my car)

This is where I installed that bulb......... right below the green plastic in the middle..... (that green thing is the back of the big bulb you saw on the frontal view)

But didnt do nothing..... ill just make the little hole :D

That logo is blacked out, adding a light will do nothing.

Please do not install tacky "cf" trim to your cluster. You have a gorgeous Euro M3... something many of the true US enthusiasts would hate to see fouled up with ugly additions.

Thanks for the compliment, Euros are great indeed, but I dont see how this could count as an "ugly addition"

E46's do NOT have carbon fiber trim in their clusters.

The ///M is blacked out... you can see it in your pics.
