Up for sale is my 2000 540i. Let me just start out by saying that this is one of the cleanest 5 series I have ever seen and it is mint. This car is fully loaded. It is black on black with the sport package and 6 speed transmission. It has the M steering wheel and M shift knob. It is fully loaded with sport package, premium package, heated seats, BMW 6 CD Changer in the trunk, and privacy package which includes rear shades on the back windows and the power sunshade for the rear winshield, navigation and HIDs. This car has very low miles, only 49k now. It also has a FULL AC SCHNITZER kit including front spoiler, side skirts, rear skirt, power heated mirrors, roof spoiler and OEM E39 M5 rear spoiler. It also has OEM Hella front and rear european clear lights. This car is fully tinted with 15% tint all around and 50% tint on the front winshiled. I have added a few upgrades such as Active Autowerke short shift kit, Apex lowering springs, Brembo cross drilled rotors, B&B triflow exhaust and headers. This car has been meticulously maintained and all common E39 issues have been addressed. Within the past 5 months I have replaced the entire cooling system including, new radiator, all new hoses, new coolant lines which run through the valley pan, new waterpump, new thermostat, new mass airflow meter, new cam position sensor, new upgraded MK3 navigation unit, new sway bar links and not to mention that the oil has been changed every 4k miles using only BMW synthetic oil and OEM BMW filters and I recently had the brake fluid flushed and replaced with ATE super blue fluid. Last week I addressed the oil pump issue which is common on these cars and I had Rennsport drop the oil pan and re-torque the oil pump bolts and threadlock them. This car is truly unbelieveable and one of a kind, You will not find another one like this for a long time. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Damn this is a good deal. I means seriously...you should have no problem selling it for that. Your only obstacle is that the market is flooded with E39's....its a shame because your car is worth every penny of at least 25k. Good luck.

How does the paint on the body kit match the rest of the car?
Do you have the original lights?
When did you replace the springs and what is the drop/ride height?
I take it the factory shocks are still on there?
Any dings, scratches or other imperfections?
Just trying not to waste anyone's time here.

I am located in Fort Lee NJ. The paint on the kit matches very well. I do not have the orginal lights. The springs were replaced at 30k and are still on the factory shocks. There are no dings or dents. There is one scratch on the lower portion of the front lip but I assure you that this car is immaculate and that you will not be disappointed.

The only reason I can fathom (at least why I personally wouldn't jump on this) is once you get into the $20K+ price range, you're into 2003's with similar mileage. I'd rather spend $13-16K for something a bit older, but extremely well maintained that isn't exactly what I want and bank the difference. If I were going to drop $20K+, I'd go 2002-2003.

BTW I notice that the dash appears to have the infamous pixel problem based on the attached pics which is an approx $1000 repair (if you can't get BMW to cover it as a good will repair).
