Guys,

I need your help.
My girlfriend is looking for a car to buy. We found a 2000 323ci earlier but the deal went through.

Anyhow, we are now debating between the 323i and the 323ci.

So if you were looking to buy a 2000 E46, would you buy a

SEDAN

or a

COUPE

Also, an explanation will be helpful.
Ie (sedan is cheaper or coupe is more sporty)

THANX

Coupe. They are beautiful. The rear end of the sedan doesn't look quite right to me.

the coupes if its the 2000.. i do like the newer sedan's styling but not so much the older styles sedan.

I prefer the coup, just for the exterior looks of it. Though if you do plan on frequently having more than 2 ppl in the car, a coup is obviously a pain.

Though owning a 323i, it also isn't a bad car, just not as sporty as the ci imo.

Guys, why is that a coupe is more expensive then the sedan?

Dumb question? I know, but I don't know the anwer, this is why I am asking.

I got a coupe ;) ..Everything about it is great.. except for insurance.. :(

But I've seen a couple of HOT HOT HOT sedans as well. It's more practical. It's easier to put stuff in/get things out, if its a sedan.

BTW, I'm going to guess coupe is more expensive because 'its hot' and 'everybody wants one' .. eh.

The coupes look alot better after i looked at BMW website.

When it comes to E36 i am a sedan fan, but it seems in E46 the sedan just looks ugly.

E46 Coupe! I love the new coupes (or at least I will until that ass Bangle facelifts them) and the reason I think theyre more expensive is because of the sport suspension and the other "sport" stuff you get. I think the coupe is actually slightly heavier as well (but it doesnt matter) :)

Stock for stock... in terms of styling I feel the coupe takes the cake...

YET.... nothing beats a fully modded E46 SEDAN :boink

Wow...everyone is favoring the coupe. What's the benefits of owning a sedan then?

We are trying to justify $2-3K more for a coupe. However, we are having a hard time since $2-3K is a lot of $$$ just for looks.

Sedans also have their advantages. I went from a coupe to a sedan, and loving every part of my decision...

Its more practicle, which is pretty obvious, and you can let people outta the car w/o getting out. I got really sick of getting out everytime I let a friend out of the car.

Plus Imo, the sedan is more classy, the coupe is more sporty. Its jus' what is compatible to your preferences.

actually i went from a 240sx coupe to a BMW sedan. I did like the look of the coupe but I do like the convience of the sedan. Think of it this way.. what other sedans out there perform like the BMWs? BMWs are known for their sports sedans just as much as the Motorsports.
