Depo's CCFL Angel Eyes
I just bought a set of depo headlights with the ccfl's, but it did not come with any directions. I was wondering how exactly do i wire the headlights and ccfl's and how do i install the angels eyes because i cannot figure it out? i tried searching but didnt come up with much. also, how do i know which version or edition of depo headlights that i have?

Edit:

Hey man? i have this exact kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=170028977761&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT .
But mine for some reason did not come with any instructions. Im am scared of playing with it too much because i could damage the rings and/or wires.

did they give you a harness to convert the old halogen type bulbs to H1's? it should plug into where the old bulbs went. its a bundle of wires with a brown, white, gray, and yellow

it mentions in the description that it does include the plug n play harness adaptors... so it should be as easy as taking out the old headlight, swapping the new ones in and then just matching up the grey and dark grey connectors for the head lights. The angel eyes would have to be spliced into each parking corner lamp.

i know it should be easy, but as stated b4 mine didnt come with any directions. and i have no idea how to install the rings.

the biggest problem i had when installing mine (which had no instructions either lol) was to figure out how the wiring went into the harness. i had to look all up inside the headlight assembly to tell the order. other than that it went smoothly and they look great (sig)

take the lens off the headlight and then lay each of the rings CAREFULLY over each of the circular portion. they just lay right in there. mine didnt take any glue or anything. then run the wires from the rings along the bottom so they can plug into your inverters

Oh.. I didn't realize the angel eyes weren't already installed. Yea that's gonna be a little tougher... but kinda easy... i'll see if i can find the diy.

and remember when you are putting the lens back together to silicone ALL FOUR CORNERS. if you dont do this water will get in there and fuxor all your hard work

thanks. my angel eyes have that peice with the clips on each side, do i need to remove those? also, do i have drill anything to run the wires?
I am trying to use this DIY that was just sent to me, but as you can see it uses and different type of ccfl's.

I'm pretty sure that the clips need to be removed.. mine didnt have them and I'm pretty sure that those clips are if you use them for e46 headlights. So yes they do need to be removed.

quick question, does the ccfl's go on the outside or inside of the lense. I think i have seen them go both way, but which is the best?

:lol They definatly go on the inside ... come on now. Picture how they would look on the outside. Just put a little dab of silicone in the top middle part of the ring, and stick them onto the inside of the headlight glass. You should have got city lights instead, then you wouldn't be having this problem.

mitch, where did you buy your city lights. i have been thinking of doing this as an alternative. i have the spot for the bulbs in my ellipsoids.

Thanks guys. The depos come with city lights, so i have both. I will attempt to install the rings in a couple of days because i have to study for TAX. I was able to get the lights working though. it wasnt that hard. I just followed this diagram, but mines were upside down for some reason. http://www.understeer.com/ellipsoid.shtml
Everyone should post links in here that a related to Depo's to make this the offical depo install thread
