Well if i get seatcovers for the front two seats door panels and armrest cover th einterior will look really sharp...as there is no stains in the carpeting. Why only 3.5??? The jl components and exhaust add up to well over 1,500 alone (new) of course. But jeesh, arent these like 6-7g blue book or something? It has sport package with LSD.

Also, do you guys think it would be wise to spend almost 400 on an M3 bodykit from e-bay then get the car painted either black or silver from a buddy that would charge me like 4 maybye 5 hundred. This would be like a 1,000 job for me...im just asking your guys's experienced oppinion here...(im looking on fixing up this car and selling it.) Idk if i should keep it stock and just fix up the interior or what.

Is this the same car that was just for sale for 5K that was forest green?
The reason 3.5 is the miles are high,
Their is no $1500 on those 2 combined, a used UUC is about 400, and we dont know the extent of the stereo, which the old owner should have taken out and sold seperately, but you bought it as a package deal.
Theres nothing great about this car, it needs interior, mechanical work, and the body redone.. After you do all that, you will still have high mileage, but might be able to get about 2 more after you put 4 or 5 into it.

PS. Ebay kits are garbage, they have no strength to em, and if you plan on making money on this car, install the kit, macco paint job, then go find you a sucker.

I dont know of any mechanical issues on the car, and the body is pretty straight forward. I am going to fix up the interior.

Also i hope you are being sarcastic with putting 4 or 5k into the car to fix interior....and these mechanical problems that you seem to know about i would like to know because i cant find any other than the clutch was bad which i got replaced 3 days ago. Might I add the car has Sports package (sports seats LSD rear spoiler sport suspension basketweave wheels) and winter package (traction controll, ect.) This is sort of a rarity in the bmw world as i have been told. Well anyone interested make me an offer , the interior will be mint when i am through with it....

its just a number. Cars with 60k could run like crap whereas a well maintained car with 150k could be more powerfull and smoother.

why are you fixing it and selling it. I dont get why someone would throw an M3 kit and paint the car and then sell it. Waste of time.........

mods dont add value to a car, your car is probably going to be worth 5 or so grand

Well an m3 kit would be more appealing to somebody. Idk...if i like this car i will keep it, but i really want a 300z....i got this car to fix it up and sell an dmake a littl ebit of a profit.

Just a piece of advice... you probably won't make any money on this. Don't put money into it. Take the audio system out and then sell it for what it is worth (3-4k). Mods DO NOT add value! Especially on a car with issues. Anyone who is going to buy a 150k mile e36 is not going to be looking for a mint car anyways. Just sell it, sell the audio system, and buy your 300zx.

Modifications DO NOT ADD VALUE! Sell the mods seperately from the car if you want to make money of of them. I saw a very pristine E36 325is in artic gray on gray, manual, I believe it was a 1994. It had 170,000 miles on it and it did not move at the 7,000 they were asking. The car was well cared for, but that doesn't make up for age and mileage. I decided I'd pay 4,000 for that one, based on condition. You're is probably worth a top of 5,000. I don't see 150,000 miles as being near the end of it's life, but it is still high miles.

looking at 325i myself again and a 94 goes for about £2k here (about 3.7k USD)

even a $1000 paint job will still remind you what color it used to be when you open the doors or hood.
