Have someone seen or have pics of a V8 e39 m5 engine installed into the e36 chasis? I have the engine available and considering the project.:eyecrazy

Nope. No pictures because it doesn't fit. The E39 540 motor fits, but the E39 M5 motor is too wide. Unless you were going to redesign the front end of your car, there is no way to get it in. Strut towers would have to be modified/moved in order to get it in and that is far too much money.

I saw on a mag a pics of a V12 on a e36 318ti, are you 100% sure the V8 of the m5 is wider than the regular V8?

The S62 is 3 inches wider than the M62

What does a V12 have to do with a V8? It doesn't mean they have anything in common. Yes, it is wider as stated above.

I have the original engine completedly built with turbo (535whp) but I am tired of leaking head gaskets even at low boost.

Uh, did you use a good head gasket or a lame factory one?
