Hi,

I have recently installed some new 18" AC Schnitzer wheels on my e36, only problem is that the rear wheels rub whenever someone sits at the back. The front wheels dont have a problem its just that the rear wheels constantly rub against the car if either: i go over a bump or if i have passengers in the back. The car has Original M3 suspension installed so whats the exact component or part that i need to over come this? or do i need to change the suspension.

Thanks for reading.

take out the back seats then you won't have to worry about people sitting there.

thanks, but i think i need people to sit in the car but isnt there something you can get to stop the wheels from scraping.

I heard from someone that you can get something called a "stopper", dont know the correct term for it but it supposedly stops the wheels from scraping, any idea where i can get this from?

Stiffer springs in the rear. Or add helper springs in the rear. They are additional springs that you add to the suspension to carry the additional load. See JC Whitney catalog online.

Or take the tire/wheel off and see where it's scraping. You may be able to "modify" that area by bending it or cutting it out of the way. It's usually fender liners that are rubbing or some other non-structural part. Do not "modify" suspension componets or frame componets.

take your wheels off. take a blow torch or benzo torch or something. rubber mallet. beat the shit out of them upwards. works everytime. ;)
