Hi, I'm in need of major help.

The Locking key for the wheel lug nut snapped in half while removing the lug nut bolt. ( its an actual bolt ) so i've been trying to hammer it, chizzel it, everything.

i guess i need to drill it out or something.... I asked the stealers and they really want to steal my bank account just to remove the bolt.

can someone point me into the right direction?
Thanks very much appreciated.

the lug nut is not the locking nut, but looks similar where the locking nut goes into it.

Have you tried getting it out with something sticky?

go to auto zone, they have them drilling bits, its just for that purpose, i had to do that on my car, it worked out really nice and easy, tell them what you did and they'll show you the drill bits you need, they dont actually look like real drill bits, they are the special kind....you will need a low powered drill to take them out, lots of torque, but take it slowly....

Same thing happened to me once. I went to o'reilys and bought a extractor for 10 bucks. Good luck

You may have to drill the opening(hole) inside the bolt body and use the extractor. Or you can buy some large torx sockets from Harbor Freight and nail one inside the hole. I had some good success with using torx socket tightly nailed inside the opening. However before I would start turning the torx I would tighten rest of the bolts on the wheel, this will release tension from broken bolt. This step is very important.
Take your time and make sure you drill hole deep enough for tool to have some substantial grip.
