What are the best tires to get in terms of traction for the back wheels. My suspenion mods are listed in my sig. My friend recently told me of some tires that are like slicks almost but are street legal, they just meet the min requirement for thread. Thank you for any help.

what are you using the car for? why are you only looking for rear tires with the best grip? with all your suspension work the car should be pretty neutral, or at least be able to get it there with minor tweaks.

r-compounds have no place on a car that is driven daily. Some people drive them to the track, but thats about it. please, do not mix R-comps on the rear with regular street tires on the front. R-comps need to be warmed up to operate well, and each heat cycle you put them through wears them out. This means that even if they have tread left, they might not have much grip (the rubber dries out). They are also very finicky about tire pressures and driving through water/rain. They will wear out much faster than a regular tire, and because of that you have to check up on them frequently (or else you'll wear down to the cords before you know it and blow out a tire)

Tires should be a balanced thing, front and rear. Best dry tires for the street seem to be the falken azenis 615 ($140-160ish), yokohama advan neova, or bridgestone RE-01R (both closer to $200+)

What would one suggest to run on the rears for drag racing, but a DOT legal tire?

i currently have falken on rear and just bought fulda quantum elites for the front
