Wow... they do bring up a good point in that he at least stands up for what he has done and accepts it and tries to defend it. personally I don't think the 7 or z4 are too bad, but the new 5 and 6 pics I've seen are terrible... but until I see the final products of these two I'll keep an open mind.

And the Z4, design of the year - ah no.
At least the Z4 grew on me, the 7 never did - well at least not the ass. The front is cool. If I were in the market I'd be looking at A8s - they are a great compromise between the isolated luxury (but good styling) of the BEnz, and the driver orientation of the 7 (but Bangled styling)
Well, at least the idiots pulled their heads out of their ass long enough to realize that 350Z is worthy of Automobile of the YEAr (although after that Bangle award, I am really not sure what that award is worth). Z rocks. All hail the Z.

He is the reason I will be looking at Benz's instead of BMW's when we have to replace my car.

His designs s#ck. I was wondering who designed the fugly Fiat Coupe.... I see lots of them here in Korea. Where is his counterweight at BMW? There has got to be someone with some tastes still left at BMW's design department or boardroom.

I refuse to buy an UGLY car.... no matter how fast it is or how well built it is. Maybe when Z4 sales turn out to be a disappointment, he will get fired.

I hate the ass on the 7, don't like the diagonal cut on the Z4 and am really NOT looking forward to a 5 that looks like a Pontiac from the front but they are right to say he is bold and BMW needed to become bolder in their design. I just don't happen to like the direction his boldness is taking. I buy a car for a lot more than design, however, which would eliminate Benz and an A8. In fact I will probably still give serious consideration to the 545xi to replace my A6 Quattro when it is available. Other cars just don't drive like a BMW. It will be interesting to see what happens with all these cars.

I think that an automotive corporation such as BMW needs to think more "evolution" rather than "revolution" with each design. Especially when you have such an extensive and rich heritage behind such things as the double headlights and kidney grills. I can understand seeing some of his 'style' mistakes on some of the more risque Japanese and Korean manufacturers, but from BMW. Come on man, get some balance in your styling department, or give the current people some balls to speak out against this man's crazy concepts of style.

Rietzle stopped Bangles antics. I just read that in ec. Riettzle was more formal, and traditional. Pissed off Bangle and his "design team" Bangle wanted to go forward with these assinine designs but Rietzle wouldn't let him.

Stupidity reigns supreme. No matter where you go, in any corporation, the higher up the chain you go, the stupider the decisions that are made.
